Consumer Directed Community Supports (CDCS)

CDCS offers people more choice and control over their long-term services and supports, identified through a person-centered assessment and planning process. CDCS allows the participant to be the employer of direct support workers, and to purchase non-traditional supports, such as special therapies, diets, technology, home and vehicle modifications, or equipment. Participants are required to use a FMS (Fiscal Management Services) provider for managing program money and making payments. Under CDCS, individuals have greater independence, control, responsibility, and satisfaction over their services and supports. Accra is a certified FMS (Fiscal Management Services) with the Minnesota Department of Human services for this program.
